Installing the UW Services CA Root Certificate
You can download the UW Services CA Root Certificate in PEM format from the UW Services CA Home. You probably don’t need to install this unless you’re a software developer.
Purpose
The UW Services Certificate Authority (CA) issues digital certificates for UW applications. This CA isn’t appropriate for web server SSL/TLS traffic—consider a certificate from the InCommon CA instead. InCommon certificates are trusted in all major web browsers and available to UW Departments at no additional cost.
