Celebrating over 100 years of unity, wisdom, friendship, achievement

facultyauxiliarylogo
For over 100 years the Faculty Auxiliary has enriched the UW community by organizing a variety of social and cultural activities, helping to orient new faculty and raising funds for student scholarships.

The Auxiliary’s programs include seasonal receptions, a speakers series, and an annual scholarship awards dinner and regular gatherings of various interest groups.  All groups are open to both UWFA and UWRA members.

During the Covid-19 pandemic, the UW Faculty Auxiliary is complying with the Washington Governor’s guidance on allowable activities and group sizes to protect our members.

For a list of past movies we have watched, click here

The Clean Beach Team

every 2nd and 4th Thursday, times vary

The Clean Beach Team offers an opportunity to be outdoors, walking the beach among friends, and doing something helpful for the environment—all at the same time.  We will meet every 2nd and 4th Thursday on both saltwater and fresh water beaches.  We will send an e-mail two days before, on Tuesdays, with the time, meeting location and weather forecast.  Clean Beach Team cleaners will bring their own garbage bags, but if someone forgets to bring them, we will have bags to share. We recommend wearing sturdy hiking boots and working gloves. And bring your smiles and cameras—for “before” and “after” photos!  For more information or to join the group, please contact the leaders.
